affect activity
Depletion of Ruminococcus bromii with berberine, a traditional medicine used in China for many metabolic disorders, causes significant glucose levels control. Ruminococcus bromii is known to ferment dietary carbohydrates to produce single sugars. Ex vivo cultivation of Ruminococcus bromii showed inhibition in growth at Berberine concentration 25 μg/ml, thus affecting deoxycholic acid transformation ability.
