Olanzapine is a drug used in psychosis disorder that can cause weight gain. Two groups of patients receiving olanazpne with or without Bifidobacteriumas probiotics were noted for their weight gain. Contaminant administration with probiotic Bifidobacterium helps significantly in controlling the weight gain at the start of the therapy. after 8 weeks from taking the medication, no differences were noted between the two groups.
