affect activity
Platelet activation factor and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can induce an increase in group II phospholipase A2 (PLA2-II) activity. This induction was found to be dependent on gut bacteria, and germ-free rats are less susceptible to LPS-induced injury than conventionally fed rats.
